The common role-player

There are certain sayings that have somehow evolved into most role-players vocabulary that are almost impossible to get around. Some of them are easy to understood and perfectly fine, but a lot are the most annoying shit on the planet. Lets go through some of the basics, which most people will probably go "WELL DUH STUPID," but to give examples of neutral words.

Rp: Role-play (also seen as rper: role-player)
Para: Paragraph based role-play
Multi-para: Multiple paragraph based role-play
Semi: Not quite paragraph role-play
One liners: Role-play conducted with one liners

So.. you should all know these. Basic things a rper has to do. Some less neutral ones also come as.

Kinks: What you find sexy that's not quite the norm in sexual role-play.
Limits: What you don't find sexy in sexual role-play, in fact you won't even do it.
Age-play: Pedophilia role-play.
Anthro/Furry: Half animal/half human that generally has fur and a fucked up looking face.
Neko: A male or female human with cat ears and a tail. Similar to anthro, not nearly as creepy. (As seen above)
A/S/L: Age/sex/location

I constantly get asked these and have to think really hard what mine are. I suppose I don't do enough purely sexual role-play. It took me a long time to understand what "age-play' meant, but I finally deduced that these are basically wanna be pedophiles. Now I know to turn them away the second they try and pm me for role-play. I've seen SOME good anthro art, but must of it just makes me sick to my stomach. Neko's ARE cute and I really like the pictures of them, but the behavior surrounding these characters tends not to be. Frankly it all depends on the rp... but it can basically be "I'M A CAT BUT YOU CAN HAVE SEX WITH ME" No thanks... I don't fuck cats. Age sex location is kind of an age old "I HATE THIS CRAP" from "sophisticated role-players." I certainly block anyone who says that right off the bat, but I don't hate it. It's not even annoying... certainly not neutral though. It takes less then a second to block these people. Also, for some reason Arabic people pm english speaking peoples to do who knows what.... This is so fucking common it's weird.

But... here are some sayings which I ABSOLUTELY HATE

"Sorry for wasting your time" SORROW? For wasting something I haven't even given the slightest indication that it's been a waste? Totally unjustified and non logical, not to mention unnecessary. Apologies are dolled out like welfare, they needs to be cutback. I find this so annoying I probably will only say "I apologize" from now on, rather than sorry.

"What do you want to role-play specifically?" How often am I gonna have an absolutely specific role-play all laid out? In fact if I did, I'd just write a short story for Zeus's sake. If I indicate "I have a specific rp," then yes this question makes sense... it never makes sense otherwise.

It reminds me of when I had someone I rped with maybe twice, added to my screen name forever and she'd come whine to me about her boyfriend breakup then tried to cyber with me afterwords. Way later after taking her off my screen name she came to me asking me for role-play, I said no thanks. Here is our conversation! Unedited except for her screen name. I freaked out, which I'm not proud of, but what I said was kinda funny which I am proud of... so lets just see how it turned out!

Conversation start:

AnnoyingGirl: Heya. Long time no talk ^^

supercompoundrper: Hello.

AnnoyingGirl: Whats up?

supercompoundrper: Nothing.

AnnoyingGirl: Pretty much the same. Would you like to maybe rp?

supercompoundrper: No thanks.

AnnoyingGirl: Sorry to waste your time then.

supercompoundrper: K

AnnoyingGirl: Let me ask this, did I do or say something to offend?

supercompoundrper: Well I find it beyond annoying when people tell me they've wasted my time.

supercompoundrper: When I haven't made ANY indications that I feel my time has been wasted.

supercompoundrper: Especially when it's been less than a minute.

supercompoundrper: Sorrow is a bit much don't you think?

supercompoundrper: I'll tell you want is a waste of my time though.

AnnoyingGirl: Not sorrow, it my usual response to anyone who says no thanks. I

supercompoundrper: Making sure your insecurities are all in tact after I didn't want to rp with you.

supercompoundrper: That in fact, is a horrible waste of my time.

supercompoundrper: :) Hopefully that explains everything.

supercompoundrper: And by the way, Sorry comes from the word Sorrow.

supercompoundrper: So saying you're sorry implies you feel sorrow for the situation.

supercompoundrper: So if you say sorry and don't feel sorrow, than you're a liar.

AnnoyingGirl: Well after putting it like that, I'm quite offended that all I did was ask a simple question then got a response such as that.

supercompoundrper: Okay, then fuck off please.

supercompoundrper: I don't want to talk about it.

supercompoundrper: If you're sorry you're wasting my time, stop right now

AnnoyingGirl: Whatever. I'll remind myself not to message you again.

supercompoundrper: Sounds like a plan.

supercompoundrper: Take care ;)

AnnoyingGirl: Bitch.

:Conversation end.

I'm thinking that this type of talking came from my whole idea about bitching. That means, that I think it comes from this idea that so many people are so irritable and bitchy on the role-playing sites that the person asking for role-play instantly feels for them for not getting role-play and apologizes. Not getting role-play though isn't a big deal... this saying needs to be thrown away. It is the single most annoying thing ANYONE can do who comes to me for role-play I absolutely HATE it. Regardless, if you haven't noticed from earlier posts I'm just as insane as other role-players and may very well bite your head off. Usually however, I'm very nice, so this is an extremely uncommon thing. She had a previous history with me so I don't feel too bad. Who tries to cyber with someone after they break up with their partner? LONELY MUCH? Fuck them losers.

So, now you know my basic rp vocabulary. ARM YOURSELF WELL MY READERS :3
