As in an earlier post I showed that when someone looks at a picture of a character of mine next to some drums, guitar, or what not, people want to rush in and do music role-play with me. THIS ANNOYS ME. I kind of threw this out there without giving much explanation to it and just mocked this person for doing it. It was really a mistake of mine, because here it happened again and I got criticized for it in chat. After further inspection it comes off as kinda irrational doesn't it? That I take a picture that is lighting up music as a possibility then getting mad at people for taking up that possibility since it's obviously going to be the first thing that comes to their mind yes? (It says V-DAY, on my shirt, a Vagina Monologues t-shirt I bought a semester ago) Well, for starters, I'm crazy and my pet peeves will attack people if not controlled (I don't control them very well). Regardless, it's not really fair to expect people to understand that well... this is something they're gonna have to look out for are they? Well regardless, here's my explanation. I go to google to find my pictures and type in whatever adjectives I think will give me a fun character along with "Anime" and usually "female" if not "girl." I love the punk style, it's why I wear fake chucks on my feet because it makes me feel like I'm punk even though really I haven't been since I got rid of my mowhawk and became a scientist. Regardless, typing in anything along the lines of "punk" "rock" or "Punk-rock" with the anime character inevitably brings me characters next to instruments. I actually only sometimes like the idea of music role-plays and really get sick of being suggested them and don't do this on purpose. It's a bit over-sensitive on my part, but that's why, I don't even get the characters for their instruments I get them for their ultra cute (And usually smexy =3) outfits. Regardless when someone enviably fell into this bear trap as this very flawed discusser did, sometimes someone tries to pin the blame of the role-play falling to pieces on the fact that I thought rp was a "big deal," which I don't and didn't.
I have a right to lose interest in an rp, I have a right to have a pet peeve as annoying as it is that I have one, and I have a right to walk away from a rp ANYTIME I want. The second you try to suggest otherwise or that my actions someone how link me to having said rp was a big deal is the second you've fallen into a hole of stupidity. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS HIM. Also, as a smart person I'm able to see.... I need to control my pet peeve a lot better. What are some of your rp pet peeves?
